In 1981 the International Society for the Advancement of Living Traditions in Art was created as a NYS not-for-profit corporation by Dr. David W. Ecker, Professor at NYU, Dr. Robert Bishop, Director of the Museum of American Folk Art, and others. The organization facilitated research and communication in areas of members' interests. This site acts as a repository for articles and papers concerning those interests. |
